About Dr. Umair Sharih

Dr. Umair Muhammad Arif Sharih is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician with over 17 years of dedicated practice. Having completed residency training at John H Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, he went on to pursue fellowship training in Neonatology at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, specialising in Level 3 Plus NICU care. Throughout their career, Dr. Umair has served as an Attending (Consultant) Paediatrician in various healthcare institutions across the United States, including Wisconsin, Virginia, Illinois, and Washington DC, providing expert care in Hospital Paediatric Medicine and Urgent Care settings.

In addition to their clinical work, he has held prestigious positions such as Personal Paediatrician to HRH Prince Khalid Bin Salman, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the USA and Deputy Minister of Defence. He has also contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor Adjunct at Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences in Chicago and George Washington University in Washington DC. Currently, he serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah.

Dr. Umair is board certified by the American Board of Paediatrics and is deeply passionate about delivering personalised, comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Since relocating to Dubai in 2014, he has been committed to providing exceptional care at American Hospital Dubai. Dr. Umair strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment for families from diverse backgrounds.
